Information, process, details and more.
Asmbly Makerspace is more than a workshop. It is a dynamic hub where creativity and craft come together. But their old branding felt static and flat. It didn’t capture the energy buzzing in their woodshop, laser lab, and beyond.
I created a brand as dynamic as their community—one that moves, adapts, and grows with them.
From "one-size-fits-all workshop" to "a living, breathing makers’ ecosystem."
This brand is not a single logo slapped on everything. It is a system that is flexible, modular, and designed to evolve alongside the community it represents.
The ‘A’ is a collection of shapes, each representing a different corner of the makerspace: lasers, woodworking, textiles, and more.
Each shape works alone but comes alive together, just like the community itself: diverse, interconnected, and constantly creating.
Forget static logos. I designed a dynamic logo system where each sub-brand has its own identity but stays unmistakably part of the Asmbly family.
This approach lets them:
Showcase individual areas with distinct marks
Maintain a cohesive brand story
Expand into new creative spaces without losing brand strength
Colours are industrial yet inviting. Typography is sturdy but approachable, just like the makers themselves.
This brand system is not just about looking good. It is built for growth, flexibility, and real connection.
It helps Asmbly:
Build pride across their diverse maker community
Make marketing and signage simpler and more consistent
Grow naturally without starting over with every new program or tool

Marta is amazing to work with! She was highly responsive throughout the process and guided us towards a complete brand overhaul that is clean, crisp, and very creatively captures our identity as a community makerspace. I'm excited to continue working with Marta on additional brand work for Asmbly!

LET’ MAKE MAGIC
I keep my project list intentionally small so I can pour everything into each design. If something's stirring in your creative mind, let's chat early to make sure we can work together when you're ready.
